Friday Summer Waxing Crescent Muladhara Chakra AD

So easily I slip into waxing crescent. It's so easy to sit. The weather helped too. My youth is the memory of overcast skies, and it makes me so happy. But I am easily made happy. I finished Avatar today. I'm so impressed at that series. Kudos to Nickelodeon for running so mature and rich a story. I researched to hero cycle. Storytelling is coming to me. My schedule is filling up again so quickly. I ran before dinner. Up Hawthorne and winding in and out to the extremes of about 42nd and Division. I found two awesome solid walnut bowls and a trail mix bar in a free pile at the bottom of the 28th Salmon hill. Bliss. All told, a solid seven kilometers.

Talking today. So lovely. I need more cleansing from it though. Someday I'll cherish it like eating. No eating today either. I'm a day early in the cycle. I guess there'll be another sahasrara tomorrow. Makes it harder to decide when to eat. I think 10 is about right for 48 hours. Good enough. Went to practice this morning. Sellwood. Got lost of course. Finally turned around at River Rd. about forty blocks past where I should have been. So I was half an hour late. That's nice though, as I would have been early. I'm getting better. Just missed the running. I'll live. Ran some. Barely 1k scraped together. Fine with me. I'm feeling the magic but I knew something was off because the crown chakra is not aligned and lo and behold when I checked I was indeed a day off. Ah well. There was a new kid: Davis. Reminds me of Seth Walton but with red hair. All guys except Olivia. Jason got his job, though Facebook told me that yesterday. I'm in and out of it. Food looks so good. Maybe it's my limbs that make it so. Until dark, I wasn't even really hungry. Two days is becoming like one day was. Stars are the limit.

Friday Summer Waning Crescent मूलाधार chakra AD21
Group run at Mt. Tabor. 9:00 sharp -- sharp as in something sharp cut it in half and I stood far enough away to keep safe. Olivia was later than I, and I wasn't as late as usual. However, by the time I arrived, Jason, Lauren, Daniel, Cody and Isaac were already waiting by the construction which was busy engulfing 60th and Lincoln. It's sunny these days. Smart move making an early run because it could get hot today. Kevin ran up soon after Olivia. Lauren begged me to run with her, though it was pretty much unnecessary, as I'm magnetically attracted to tired and slightly negative females. We approximated the 3k course from the Mt. Tabor race. Three loops for us. I don't know about the others, but I imagine they did something around that. Uncle Jens and Paige were playing tennis and we got to pass them three times and hear about Paige getting roller skis. Sounds ridiculous. But I guess we'll see. Lauren was having a hard time of it, especially on the second run; in all fairness, there are some wicked hills -- kosher with me. The third loop got her into swing, though it is quite creepy to feel how cold she gets when she runs. Every body is different of course.
I went to Patrick's after. He had someone to go hang out with but his dad offered to drive him so we had twenty minutes to chill and waffles with strawberries and... grade B maple syrup -- so amazing; so oblique in the world of the soul. He bounced and I chatted with Barbara about politics. When his dad got back we shot a breeze and then tried to get my tires inflated. It wasn't really working but the genius invention of thread tape saved the day. The pump is sufficiently fuzzy and kosh -- in fact, Doug inflated the tire on his little silver Mazda.

I cleaned out the freezer. The power went out. A crane hit a power line. I called and fairly quickly learned that if I had not have found out quickly I would have probably noticed the power coming back on before finding out why it hadn't been off. The freezer came about because I'd brought the cooler up in case the food needed to be saved and I decided it was a good time to get the freezer. It's so nice and clean now. Better yet, there's ice and non-perishables filling up the back so there won't be so much junk. Now I just have to figure out the fridge. *shudder* Oh yeah! I also discovered a somewhat old but still gift from god good box of green tea mochi. So delicious, even though the rice coatings were a little brittle.
I ran because such is the way of God. Decided to try and find some new territory. Went South and a bit west. I never really go west of Winterhaven except on the Corridor unless I get as far south as Oaks Bottom. So I got to see some lovely Westmoreland action. There's a funny business for lease at the end of a street in the middle of houses that dead ends at stairs up to the highway or whatever that big street is. Crazy. Crossed back over the traditional overpass {off note but why must I always cough on carrots? the stupid baby ones are the worst amIjusttoofrigginlazytoesophagizeanythingproperly?!} and took a little hook back to twentysomething and meandered home.

Natalie's Party day. I woke up at some point. I went on a run. I finally got to wear the shorts I found while helping Olivia move her office. Total success. I didn't feel that great and it was hot but the short shorts make it all worth it. I went up Salmonish and passed Hanna Thomson. She may have been blinded by the shorts but for whatever reason she had a strange look on her face. I went to Edwards and turned around. I took a shower and got dressed and went to buy some presents. I decided to stop by at Clogs and More Kids to see if Lauren were working. Not only was she, but she was velvet tongued enough to convince me that what Natalie wanted was a High School Musical metal lunch box and a hello kitty mini metal thing --which of course is obviously true. So that was half the work. Not enough clogs but whatever. I went to Powell's and found a lovely pastel colored edition of Candide that fit in the box. I also picked up a silly looking book by Bruce Campbell and a gift card for $19.54 for my mother. Very productive. Also a card that matched the book and boxes in color if of course not in theme that said on the front "Could you call me back, I'm keeping this line open for sex" or something much like that. I wrote happy birthday Natalie inside which smudged a bit as pen markings tend to do so I wrote underneath: Don't fade away. Very productive indeed. Unfortunately, as is my habit, I was looking to be a little late by then so I booked it to 37th and Malden; taking 39th primarily as I certainly don't trust myself with the fast way. We went to Sauvie's Island and drove a long way because the island is quite long, though I hadn't really known that before. We passed Collin's Beach (clothing optional) and proceeded to the "secret" beach that Hannah knew of. Hannah was confusing in that she had that almost flirty smile with me for the first couple times we met eyes and also that she happened to have red hair and the same name as the red haired Hanna I ran by earlier that day. Otherwise she reminded me a lot of California girl with more confidence, which probably stems from men like Joe and the other twin who don't mind to point out how large (and firm) her breasts are, and of course, have sex with her. But otherwise, spitting image. As for secrecy, the gradually multiplying group of mexicans nearby seemed to have found it pretty easily -- but then again they found a neon pink harness and a chihuahua to wear it. The water was so much cleaner and nicer than it gets by the time we see it. Cold though. A nice little swim section. Then gossip and catching up on the beach. Pleasant to the max. Twister was fun too, as always. Natalie got pulled over for speeding while trying to keep up with the boys in their little Impreza and we passed them by in Mom's car and waited for them. Turns out it was $241. Natalie decided to wait until Sunday to tell her parents. After we got to her house we got to cake and pizza and ping pong and whatnot. Robin was already there, and Colton and eventually Holly showed up as the night wore on. Dad had a crazy new hat magic thing device to show off and everything was cheery. The plan had been to hit FX later on. Half the people couldn't go so it was going to be fewer. The plan changed a bit as Joe and Elliot and them wanted to have something like a dance party at their place. Natalie, being attracted to one of the twins, naturally was inclined to go. Holly so intelligently pointed out that if Wes, Sam, Colton and I all went, the other guys might be a little put off because they of course wanted to nail Natalie and Hannah and we would just man it up. Colton wanted to chill with his girl anyway and to sleep, so he bounced. I was ready to do the same but Mom wanted us along so I went along. The house is what you might expect from three college boys: sound system, x-box, trampoline, huge stockpiles of frozen food, beer pong table, tube going all the way up stairs intended for beer; and huge volumes of alcohol. Some familiar people came later and some not familiar people were already there. Mom and Wes were both drivers and I decided to claim I was Muslim that day to most quickly explain that I wasn't drinking, though considering how much I had to clarify I might have been better with just saying so. Whatever. There was some dancing, and some drama, and a lot of sitting around, and a lot of alcohol related games. Interesting experience but not something I hope to spend my days involved in. We drove back to Natalie's at a bit after 3. Hannah was drunk enough to be a little out of it. Natalie "doesn't get drunk" and was actually quite lucid. Sam had been complaining about pain in his liver so you can guess how he was faring. He didn't throw up until the curvy roads by the golf course. We cleaned it off when we got back to Natalie's. I took the long bike ride home and definitely went to sleep.

Thursday Summer Waxing Gibbous विशुद्ध chakra AD 6
I haven't been sleeping enough. I was a little out of whack this morning. I biked to Tiya's to pick up the abandoned elements from the potluck. She was feeling worse than I was, so I probably should have left a little quicker, but I wanted to clean up a little. I imagine the positive energy will counteract any annoyance at being distracted from sleep. I biked directly to Reed for the group run. They were already doing sun sals. Kara, Lauren, Jason, Emma, (me), Austin, Olivia and Dina in clockwise order with me facing North towards the center of the circle. I was surprised by Emma's hair and her shape and I didn't recognize her until I was quite near. I wore shoes to run because of the glass or whatever from last night. Dina prefers the Reed Loop. Probably trying to get an edge for the Tour de Reed. We fooled around in the canyon a little bit and then we ran out and along the golf course to Westmoreland park. Jason got ahead by the golf course and I got really excited and I went up to him and passed him then I decided to slow back down but he kept going. I merged back with the rest of them after the bridge and that's when I lost Jason. Lauren and possibly Dina stopped for the restroom while we played on merry-go-round and teeter totters. Apparently I'm heavier than Kara but Olivia added at least 3/4 out makes up for it. Incidentally, though it wasn't revealed until we made it back, Lauren left Olivia's car key on the bathroom floor at this point. I rode my bike back from there so I missed that stretching. Kara was getting picked up at 12:40 to get to work by 1:00 so it was cutting it close when I got back by 12:37. Her dad must have been late because we had time to bring the food over to her and eat some before she left. We lazed around for a while and then Olivia left to start moving her office. I told her I'd help though we took a long time to get moving. Austin and Jason had left before we started eating. The sun came out and we ate and talked about Spice Girls and whatnot. Emma put on my bomb sunglasses. She does look pretty chill in them so I didn't bother. But when she escaped on her bike I got the picture. Kids these days. Lauren came while I helped Olivia move her office into the broken room. I'm practicing Kekari Mudra which is really weird but it's supposed to resonate with Vishuddha so whatever. Lauren helped more as time went on, especially with moving Ms. Gardener's desk downstairs. We found Robin's sleepingbag. Olivia was worried because Lauren was being slow in getting to work. The sun will do that. I wonder if she had time to take a shower.

The potluck was a success. The most beautiful girl in the world was soooo hot in that black dress cooking pasta. God. Amazing. All the girls were pretty. I got to cook some nice mashed potatoes. I had a delicious adult conversation with Rebecca and I think she has a better understanding. I didn't get home until eventually and I didn't run until like 11. I brought my gift for Natalie to her house which is about 8k. I got what I imagine is glass in my foot and I spent like half an hour trying to get it out. I believe I did not. I walked and got a call from the most beautiful girl in the world. So that took 2k off the return trip. I did feel pretty good. I was worrying on the first half about purity of mind. It's kind of unfair to have Swadisthana so soon after my native week and in the dry season. But with the little pain I was able to tap into that natural place of watching and getting to safety. I made a lovely metaphor about squirrels. I am somewhat convinced that it's my totem animal.

Tuesday Summer Waxing Gibbous मूलाधार chakra AD5
Purity washed away the summer ash. I went like syrup today. Waxing Gibbous is powerful. I'm starting to get into the vibrations of Summer and it's looking good. I was able to enjoy the abeyance of many desires today: Sleep in the morning; lust in the early parts; Food in the afternoon; action in the later parts. This obviously is keeping me up later than I'd like though. I didn't run until nearly 1:00. I did one set of 8 blocks for each chakra, stopping each time to get further still with mula bandha. My head is still full of buzz from the fire and my native Waxing Crescent, but I had many clear moments. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the fasting this time. I guess we'll see.
